Ungrateful

I watched "The Hours" on TV tonight. In the movie, I concered about a pharase. A man yelled out the pharase to a female writer who is one of the leading character. "You are ungrateful." Because he moved a rural land from London to spend a quiet life but she said she went to London. She has mental illness so he, who really loves her, took her to the country. However, she don't love the country. She didin't leave from London. In fact, London makes her illness worse but she didin't go the country. He wanted to take her to the country to heal her. In this case, which is the better? Is she really ungrateful? In fact, he really loved her, at least, he thought so. However, was his act of grace, which he forced her something she was unwilling to do, right? Was that his affection for her? It is skeptical about that. Is it his love or his egoism?
