STARBUCKS at convenience store

The STARBUCKS caffee and latte began to be sold at convenience stores in Japan. Accordig to the advatizement, the taste and quality are the same as at the shop. But the latte at convenience stores don't have foamed milk, so I can't believe the same. The STARBUCKS coffee or latte are more expensive than the competitive drinks. I thought the price was for the brand. Frankly, the taste was like the same as the competitive products. I wonder if this drink become big.

TOEIC

Yesterday I took TOEIC test. Although I didn't study for it, I was glad to finish. I felt free. I was surprised at something at the site. First, the site where is a college was so sleazy. It has been a long time since I visited that kind of building. I remembered that I took lessons at such room in my school days. The desk and chair are enough long to sit 3 people, and we had to draft our chair with three of us. Second, the player for listening test was not a CD but a cassette tape. I hardly believed that in this age. If the tape were cut, we wouldn't continue to take the test at our room. I don't know what score I get but I want to try next year again.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow TOEIC test will hold at a collage After all, I didn't study for TOEIC test. The only thing I prepare for TOEIC is my ID photo. I expect I can't get high score. Also it will rain tomorrow, the chance of rain is 90%. But this score is just the guideline . This idea may be used just one time. I will study harder in order to get high score at the next test. It is said that TOEIC test will change next year. I don't know how it changes but it is said that we need more practical skill for the high score. If my native language were English, I wonder I could get perfect score. Anyway, I hope the miracle happens for me tomorrow.

Yahoo auction

I put my boyfriend's jacket&pants and a pair of shoes to the Yahoo auction today. This was the second time. Before, I sold a couple of wine glasses and a plate on Yahoo auction. I put 4 items to the auction, and 2 items was sold. Frankly, I didn't expect they were sold. It was a acceptable result. This time, the prices of the items were higher than last time. I wonder if these items were sold, but a inquiry about the item already reached. I expect it is an auspicious start.

wedding video

I helped to make a wedding video today because my coleague ask me to edit the wedding video. But we didn't have enough time to edit the video carefully. Although I am dissatisfied with the video, I can't do anything since I have no time. A video for wedding party looks like happy in itself.

AICHI EXPOSITION

I haven't taken my summer vacation yet. So I suddenly planed to go the Aichi Exposition. However, it was carried the news that the visitor was record-high 280,000 yesterday. The visitor said that she waited for 4 hours to park her car at the parking and for 6 hours to enter the popular pavilion. The total time she waited reached 10 hours! I can't believe that. I give up to go the exposition. Instead of the plan, I will go to a spring or somewhere.

Hayama

I also went to the museum today to Hayama. The museum is on the Hayama marina. To tell the truth, I prefer the art exhibition I saw yesterday to today. But I also felt comfprtable because I could see the big sea. It's been a long time since I saw sea the last time. I talked with my boyfriend to come sea to take our mind off things.

ISAMU NOGUCHI

I went to the museum to appreciate ISAMU NOGUCHI's sculpture. It was tender works and I felt comfortable. The space we can play with some piece of hard papers to make each visitor's object by combining with the pieces. He dreamed to make a park. He was not gradually gratified sculpturing stones, metals, bronzes, woods and so on. Finally he became to sculpture the earth. He got a chance to build a park in Hokkaido. However, he died as soon as he completed to design the park. So the park have done after over 10 years since he died. He became one of my favorite artist. Well, the image is his play-sculpture.

TOEIC

I will take TOEIC next Sunday. But I don't study for TOEIC, I just read English newpaper, some mail magazine regarding English, write this blog and so on as always. I suppose the score will be low than I expect. Anyway, I will think that the score is not for depression but for encouragement since this is the first try for me. However, I will put out some more last spurt.

sleepy

I don't know why but I have been sleepy these days. Since I become sleepy when I don't feel like doing anything, probably so this time. There are a lot of things I have low energy. My coleague said that Korean character was aggressive type and Japanese character was depressive type originally. Well, but if I would have low energy because of the nationality, it is a serious problem!

orthodontist in September

I went to see a orthodontist today. This month, I am so busy that I changed my reservation twice. After all, today was the day. It have been for 10 months since I put on the device. I think my teeth have got in a line considerably. The doctor also said to me "Things are going so well." I was so glad to hear that. It's all because I have beared off the pain for 10 months. Maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit. My teeth hurts today as usual.

A young men went to the audition for the hero of a movie. He saw a car accident scene on his way to the audition. He went back nearby police station to call for help. However, when he went back to the accident scene, the crashed car and the injured driver disapeared. So he was suspected of the murder. But this was not a real but the film set. The young men who was driven to the last ditch was a hero in the movie. The idea is good but I didn't feel the real.

This film was almost a play. Through all of the movie, it was filmed at the film set build at the place like a big warehouse. I saw "Dancer in the dark" which the same director was directed. I felt the unlimited desires and arrogance of human beings in both films and I thought the movie was described the reality. Nicole Kidman was nice!

snap election

The snap election was hold today. I went to the poll at 7 PM. It was the 2nd time to vote in my life. This election have been gotten attentions than ever. So I also threw a vote though I was usually interested in politics. It was said that the biggest issue of this election was postal privatization bills. But I think the postal privatization bill is just one issue, the most important issue was how we bleed off the enormous state debt. By the way, if Democratic Liberal Party won this election, then, the postal privatization bills will be thrown out in the Upper House, what happen?

mobile phone

The guy who come to our office on business was interested in Japanese mobile phone. My coleague's mobile phone has TV tuner. So he asked to show him the Japanese TV program on the mobile phone. For your information, his phone's brand is vodafone. When I go abroad on business, the people say that the Japanese mobile phone is nice. There are various reasons. For example, we Japanese can look at the fastest and cheapest way to go somewhere by trains with i-mode service which is offered by the NTT docomo. In Eourope, they can use the i-mode service but the contents seems poor. In hardware issue, he said that the display of his mobile phone in America was monochrome. As he showed us his phone, it looked like ontmoded one. Of cource, it has no camera but it was so small. Recently, the very small mobile phone seems unpopular. I suppose the maker of mobile phone sacrifices the size for the function. I like the small one, though.

favorite phrase?

I have listened the phrase "doesn't matter" over and over since he came to us. I wonder if the phrase is his line. Or is the phrase used very often in daily life? For example, when I asked to him "What do you want to eat for dinner?", he answered "doesn't matter". Or when I asked about the order of pluging adapters, he answered "doesn't matter". I knew that the phrase "doesn't matter" was convenient phrase. Also, he uses the word "try" when he encourage someone to eat. I can learn a lot from talking with him.

I couldn't speak ...

I couldn't speak English as much as I hoped today. As I wrote it yesterday, I got a workout of the new system that our company became to handle in English. I always think something when I talk with the foreigner who speak English. Even if I want to ask some question to him and could ask it to him properly, I may not understand his answer. Actually, I could sometimes understand his explanation and sometimes couldn't understand it today. I felt the much frustration of not knowing the answer. It is difficult for me to understand the technical issue in English because I don't know if I can understand it even in Japanese. One thing I know is what I am severly deficient in my English skill of listening and speaking. This experience stimulates me. First, I think I have to read English faster than I do now. Also I have to think things in English when I write something in English. (Although I know that, it is difficult for me to do that.) Also I have to build up my vocabulary. These 3 points is the key of inproving my English skill, I suppose.

English day

Even though Sunday, I went to work because we had company from U.S. He is a technical designer of the product we will become a reseller in Japan. He is just 22 years old, and his grandmother is a Japanese! But he can't speak Japanese. We asked my highschool friend to be an interperter just today. She does translations on week day for a company in N.Y. She said that she translates the legal documents in the daytime in Japan, and she send them by e-mail until evening in Japan, that is in the morning in N.Y. It's a nice work, I thought. But she said that it's gloom and doom work because she have to be at home all day and meet nobody. I want her to come to our office 3 days from tomorrow, but she can't come because her core business. I feel uneasy about 3 days from tomorrow. I'll just have to keep working. Alghouth I'm not sure that I could manage if I do my best.

TV drama

I saw a TV drama about a girl become wrong in her junior highschool. The original was written by a famous actor. Yes, the heroine was his daughter. Why did she become a delinquent? Because her parents didn't see her, I thought. Her parents gave her money and yelled at her, but couldn't just listen to her. She couldn't tell her parents her true feeling so as not to make them worry. However, I thought that she wasn't just a victim. Herself had to a heroine in her life for any circumstance. She had to live for herself. After all, all people live alone. Even though we have a family and friends, if we don't have our intention to live for ourselves, our life will go broken. As for me, I wonder I live for me? Although someone can't understand that, someone like me feel that our life stay on the sideline. For those people, this TV drama made them reconsider, I guessed. Tomorrow, the sequel to this drama will go out. I will see it.

first-time tennis in a long while

I played tennis with my boyfriend this morning. We had 2 hours, but it was enough to enjoy tennis for 2 person. At first, we continued to play 30 minutes, then take a break around 5 minutes. After that, we started to play again. However we were so tired that we couldn't continue to play for 30 minutes. I felt I got old. From today, I will build up my physical strength.
