gentle word

I heard some gentle word when I watched TV today. A woman was featured on the TV grogram, who devoted her technic of artificail foot, leg or arm to Rwanda. Because her boyfriend lived there, who has physially handicap in his leg. She was in correspondance with him in Rwanda. As she and he continued writing and reading letters each other, they were in love. Finally, she decided to move to Rwanda to help people who lose their leg or arm because of Rwanda civil war by making artificial leg and arm. So, the gentle word was in his letter. At first, she wrote her annoyance. I supposed that Japanese men told her that was a trivial annoyance. But he didn't say that. He told that her prblem would be settled easily at that time. What a lovely and gentle word!

AppleStore in Ginza

I took 1 day leave today to go some workshops to Apple Store in Ginza. Today's workshops is for those who makes digital movie with Macintosh. I use FinalCutPro now to edit video, have also Motion or DVD studio since I bought FinalCutStudio in July. However, I only use FinalCutPro for now. In order to learn Motion, I participated in the workshop at Apple store in Ginza. An hour workshop is enough to know Motion. I knew what I can do with Motion. I was interested in Motion very well. Basically, we use Motion with playing and previewing in real time. We can confirm effects we added in real time without rendering. It is wonderful. It will be more wonderful to master Motion.

Ungrateful

I watched "The Hours" on TV tonight. In the movie, I concered about a pharase. A man yelled out the pharase to a female writer who is one of the leading character. "You are ungrateful." Because he moved a rural land from London to spend a quiet life but she said she went to London. She has mental illness so he, who really loves her, took her to the country. However, she don't love the country. She didin't leave from London. In fact, London makes her illness worse but she didin't go the country. He wanted to take her to the country to heal her. In this case, which is the better? Is she really ungrateful? In fact, he really loved her, at least, he thought so. However, was his act of grace, which he forced her something she was unwilling to do, right? Was that his affection for her? It is skeptical about that. Is it his love or his egoism?

NOMIKAI

I went to give a demonstration of our system to a company. After demonstration, the director of the company invited to drink. They seemed to have a good prospect that our system will make a big sales. I think bussiness has nothing to do with drinking. However, almost over 40 men think bussiness and drinking relate closely. Basecally, they are stingies and drink with company's money. In addition, for me, the conversation at the drinking is not interesting. This kind of drinking culture in Japan sould be abolished for ever.

POWER OUTAGE IN TOKYO

I woke up feeling too hot this morning. The air-conditioner had been stopped though I left it on last night. When I went to a rest room the light wasn't on. I also checked if the breakers have tripped, it looked right. Then, I opened the door and looked at the light of the elevator, I found the light off. My apartment lost power. Why? How large area was knocked out power? These days, I hardly listen to radio so I didn't come up with the idea that I could get some informations from a radio. After all, I had to wait to recover power to get information from TV. If a terrorist attack or a big earthquake hit Tokyo, we will get panickey. We can't do anything without power now. It is very frightening to think the cases.

football

Today, the Japan national football team won the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago natioanl team 2-0. Since Mr. Ivica Osim became a coarch of the Japan national team this was the first win. The members of the national team in Japan are very young and fresh. A lot of members who played for the recent WorldCup in Germany was not there at the studium tonight. It appeared that the generation change was done. I'm looking forward to watch the WorldCup in South Africa 4 years later.

The name of typhoon

In Japan, a typhoon is called its number. There are 2 typhoons in the sky over Japan, the 7th typhoon and the 8th typhoon. I found a typhoon has a name in Asia today when I look at the weather forecast of Yahoo. The 7th typhoon is named as MARIA and the 8th typhoon SAOMAI. It was written that these name were asian names in the weather forecast page. I wonder which country in Asia calls typhoon by its name. Fortunately the 7th typhoon (MARIA) will turn to a tropical cyclone around Friday. These few days, it was extremely hot weather in Tokyo. This rain come by typhoon seems blessed rain.

Increasing vocabulary

I got a vocabulary book yesterday. The book came with 2 CDs. I can also listen the words. In the book, the learner memorizes 16 words in a day. 70 days later, I will be a word master? My English learning tool are newspapers and NHK radio lesson and so on. Any tool I use is cheap. I think there is no royal road to learn English, and it is possible to learn English with very small expense. However, I sometimes buy some books for a change of air.

Duck family

8 child ducks are born at the walking trail near my apartment. In spring, 11 child duck were born at the same area. They were brought up and now became adult ducks. New family walks around along the stream in the walking trail everyday. The little ducks are so pretty that many people gather around them. I find where they are now by looking at the crowded of people. Today I walked in the walking trail to meet them, something weird was going on. When I approached them the mother duck quacked toward a given point. As I looked to the point a man was coming over here with something in his hand. That was a little duck! The man helped the little duck because it got separated from his mother when a cat attacked its mother, an old lady said to me. It seemed that the mother duck had no damage. Anyway, it was a relief that we could see all ducks swimmed together in peace.
